About DJU’s company history: Decades of trusted service
Founded by Sid Hopkins in 1963, Disc Jockeys Unlimited built a reputation for reliable, professional entertainment across Ontario. Michael Geretch, a former DJ for Sid, Toronto Chapter President, and National VP of the CDJA, led DJU from 1988 until September 2016. In September 2016, Ivan Lapalme, a professional nightclub DJ trained by Michael and with DJU since 2004, became the company’s third owner and currently manages all operations. Today DJU continues as an industry leader, delivering top-quality DJ and entertainment services across the region.
