Ivan really brought our special day to life during our ceremony and reception. DJU had an organized client portal for us to upload all of our special song requests, our music tastes, our event itinerary, game suggestions, etc. The week before the wedding, he had a call with us where we went over all of the song selections together and the detailed itinerary so that all of the details were communicated between us and last-minute updates could be made.
Ivan kept the party going all night long with an expertly curated to our and our guests’ tastes. There was never a dull moment on the dance floor. During the dinner portion of the evening, Ivan kept our guests engaged with a variety of games, such as a giant dice rolling kissing game and a classic fetch game. He shared the role of MC with two of our siblings, and made sure that all of the important announcements were made and that the evening’s energy stayed up. He coordinated with our two chosen MCs.
Ivan set us up with mics for speeches and during the ceremony. He also brought a dynamic light set to provide fun lighting for the party portion of the evening as well as spotlighting for the first dance and father daughter dance.
After our event, Ivan sent us a Dropbox folder with pictures and videos taken throughout the reception from his DJ booth, a much appreciated memento capturing the energy of the night and fun moments on the dance floor with our guests.
Overall, we had an excellent experience with Ivan and DJU and would definitely recommend booking with them.

A friend referred us to Ivan when we asked for DJ recommendations for our backyard wedding where ceremony, reception, dinner, and dancing were all at the one address. He’s a well-known DJ from Toronto’s eighties and nineties club scene, performing at venues such as Twilight Zone, Spectrum, Copa, and many others. He hasn’t lost his touch in the slightest.
Ivan is very friendly, professional, and accommodating. From our first conversation, he was organized and genuinely interested in making the day exactly what we envisioned. He was quick to answer our e-mails leading up to our wedding. The online tools available on the DJU website made it easy to create our playlists for the entire wedding day as well as choose visual effects for creating the perfect atmosphere. Organizing the music for our big day was the least of our worries thanks to Ivan.
He arrived early with ample time and was ready to go before the first guest arrived. Ivan just knew the ambiance we wanted for the reception before, during, and immediately following the ceremony.
After the formalities, he kept everyone moving on the dance floor late into the night. He played all of our favourites and took our guests’ requests, seamlessly splicing older tunes with newer ones all the while keeping the energy high. He also managed a second music set-up outside where the mood, of course, was a little more chill.
We received countless compliments about the music, and many of our guests said it was one of the most enjoyable weddings they had attended. Needless to say, Ivan was instrumental in making our wedding day memorable. If you need music at your wedding or event, you cannot go wrong with Ivan and Disc Jockeys Unlimited.

My wife and I had the privilege of Ivan being the DJ at our wedding in May at the Old Mill Toronto. I HIGHLY recommended booking with this company as I suspect all the Djs working for Ivan will be just as amazing as he is. He was professional, friendly, kind and accommodating. The planning portal you’re provided with when you book makes choosing all your music and special music effortless. It felt like we had a personal wedding planner, he was just fantastic! Not to mention all our older relatives 65+ were up and dancing on the dance floor and nobody in my family has seen that happen before! He knew how to place the music throughout the night just right. Started with music everyone would love to dance to and as people left it slowly transitioned into newer music that my wife and I love, then we danced into the late night with all our friends. Anyway!! Book with Ivan as you will not regret it. 😊

From the very beginning, our DJ promised us an unforgettable night, and he absolutely delivered.
His professionalism, kindness, and calming presence throughout the entire process were truly outstanding. The music was perfect from start to finish, everything flowed seamlessly according to the timeline we created together, and even when a couple unexpected hiccups came up during the event, he handled them quickly and effortlessly without missing a beat.
Most importantly, he created an atmosphere that allowed my daughter to truly enjoy herself and just be a carefree 16-year-old girl again. After some very difficult times our family has been facing lately, watching her smile, laugh, dance, and genuinely let go and enjoy every moment of her special night was something magical for me as a mother.

Earlier this week, we had the pleasure of working with Disc Jockeys Unlimited for our corporate event, and once again, they exceeded expectations. Ivan was super responsive, very kind and professional and did an excellent job on our wedding day and during the planning process! His planning website gave us the flexibility to request songs before the wedding, makes notes about the songs we chose (our first dance song started 30 seconds into the video and he remembered!) and even gave us flexibility to choose our receiving and dinner music. Honestly, Ivan was my favourite vendor to work with for our wedding. I would recommend him to any couple looking for a dependable and professional DJ for their wedding day!

DJ Ivan created the perfect festive atmosphere with a great selection of tunes, welcoming personality, and awesome sound system. His prowess kept us dancing from start to finish. The ship, on Lake Ontario, was an ideal location for a summer event.
The Alternative Retro 80’s & 90’s Boat Cruise dance party aboard the Jubilee Queen ship, with DJ Ivan Palmer, who is also the organizer of the boat cruise, is a recurring event I highly recommend. Can't wait for the next DJ Ivan evening!

DJ Ivan was working the dance party on The Jubilee Queen cruise last night and played terrible non popular music that wasn’t even easy to dance to. He brushed me and a friend off when we tried to request a decent dance song that we could dance to and continued to play same terrible music which was annoying. We paid $60 per ticket and didn’t dance the entire cruise. We won’t be back or ever use his services. Do not recommend this DJ at all.

DJ Ivan was awesome for our wedding reception! Leading up to the wedding he was incredibly helpful and responsive over email, and flexible too when we needed to add some A/V and a rented battery for our outdoor ceremony. When meeting with him and our wedding coordinator before the wedding, he had lots of great ideas and questions to help realize our vision. Lastly, at the wedding itself he showed up nice and early to set up and you could tell he was ready to have a BLAST! He brought great energy and of course the music kept everyone going all night, with a nice mix of bangers and the occasional slow song. His lighting rig and the uplights really transformed the space, too. Thanks Ivan for making our special day so great!

Ivan was amazing! He made sure our wedding went smoothly as our emcee and DJ. Ivan made sure our event was fun and kept people on the dancefloor or singing with karaoke.
Throughout the entire experience, communication with Ivan was excellent and friendly, from emails to phone calls. He made sure everything was on track and nothing was missed.
We opted to have music and karaoke throughout the night, it was a great decision and are grateful that was an easy and affordable add-on to include.
We highly recommend Disc Jockeys Unlimited for their wonderful service, great value, and fun time!

Ivan was absolutely fantastic for our wedding last weekend. Finding a DJ was the part of our wedding I was most worried about, but after doing a bit of research and speaking to Ivan on the phone, I immediately started to feel relief - he was so organized, so well-prepared, and so communicative.
Most importantly, he truly listens to his clients. We felt supported and in good hands the whole way through. He kept the dancing energy going (even with our older crowd), arranged the set-list wonderfully, and did an awesome job as our emcee. Thank you, Ivan!

We loved his organization, fast and caring replies, easy going and kind personality, and his willingness to video call with us to virtually meet and talk about what the day will look like. I can't recommend DJ Ivan enough!! If i could give him 20 stars I would. He lit up the dance floor at my wedding ALL NIGHT.. nobody wanted him to leave at 2am!
Right from the start he made me feel at ease. He sent me multiple spread sheets to fill out with all of my wedding information so he was updated and knew what to expect. We had a phone call a week before so we could go over any last minute changes and confirm the schedule. He showed up early, making sure that he was prepared and gave himself time to relax before the reception stared. He was very courteous, friendly, and played all of the right music to keep the party going! I've never been to a wedding before where the dance floor was FULL until 2am in the morning. Ivan will be the only DJ we use going forward. Highly highly highly recommend!!!

DJ Ivan was the best! He did cocktail hour and the entire reception for our wedding this past weekend, and he was amazing! He was also our emcee and did such a great job introducing everyone and every activity, never missing a beat. He kept the party going all night, knew when to put on slow songs to wind down a bit, and overall just kept a great vibe going. He even took a bunch of photos and videos for us throughout the night! DJs Unlimited are very easy to work with. I reached out to Ivan to inquire about packages for my wedding, and he very quickly came back with a clear quote that was quite reasonable. We booked DJ Marvin because he had skillfully DJed my friend’s wedding, and I’m so glad we did. He had a couple long chats with us in advance about our vision for the sound and music. We were able to request 100 songs for the night so that it was mostly music of our choice. We had our wedding at a restaurant, that was a somewhat unconventional venue, and Marvin managed to set up inside and outside in a seamless way that made it look very easy. He was amazing and we would recommend his services to anyone!

We are beyond grateful for having DJ Ivan at our wedding last weekend (Oct. 22/22)! He is an absolute pleasure to work with! Ivan was very accommodating for all our requests and offered ideas and suggestions for us! He followed up with us numerous times over the planning to make sure that he had all the correct details, overview of the timeline, songs, etc. to ensure that he all everything he needed to make our night perfect! He was on-point with our timeline, he knew exactly what song to play and when (First dance, entrances, cake cutting, etc).
Our guests were dancing all night! Ivan played music of all decades and genres so that people of all ages could enjoy the music. Their only complaint, they had sore feet by the end of the night!
We are very happy with the level of service and professionalism we received with Ivan and Disc Jockeys Unlimited. If we ever have another big party, DJU will be our first choice! Thank you Ivan for helping us celebrate the most important day of our life!

Ivan is amazing at what he does. He took extra care to meet with us and clarify the details of our music preferences so that the day flowed seamlessly.

I was very impressed with his professionalism and problem solving. We had a bit of an issue with our venue restricting music volume and Ivan created perfect solutions to ensure that rules were followed and it didn’t impact the enjoyment of the evening.

From the moment that Ivan walked into our home he was very polite and professional. He did a great job on setting up the booth and lighting and created an amazing atmosphere for our party. DJ Ivan was my wedding DJ a few weeks ago. He was extremely professional from beginning to end. Communication between us were timely and precise. His pricing was very competitive. He provided us with a portal where I was able to choose the songs that I wanted to be played. This was very convenient and saved us a lot of time. He was very receptive to our music choices and kept the crowd dancing the entire time with his own music choices as well. We hired Ivan as the DJ for our wedding in October. All we can say is that it was the best decision we could have made for our special night! He was professional and courteous, and most of all, FUN. He wasn't just a 'player of songs', but kept the evening flowing efficiently from our all important ceremony at the beginning right through to our dance party. He kept everything on track with periodic announcements, and made sure our guests observed all our special moments, including our intimate first dance. We would highly recommend Ivan and DJ Unlimited for anyone who wants a professional, and most of all, worry-free musical experience on their wedding day. D & R

Best DJ we could have asked for our wedding reception 🎉 Is timing was impeccable! Very professional and attentive to details. The fact that he was bilingual was an added bonus as my family speak French. In the weeks leading up to the wedding he worked closely with us to make sure everything was perfect! Very charismatic and easy to work with, we highly recommend Disc Jockeys Unlimited !

Ivan was an absolute pleasure to work with from start to finish. We booked Ivan through Wedding Wire - Disc Jockeys Unlimited for our wedding reception in the St. Regis hotel. He took the time to discuss our music tastes with us, and what our reception's schedule will be. Ivan was a fantastic MC, and was incredibly organized. Above all, Ivan was an outstanding DJ and understood our tastes perfectly, he went above and beyond to make the night a success. Our music tastes were mostly dance/house, with some Top 100 and Indian music for the crowd. Everyone had a wonderful evening and he kept the crowd very lively throughout the entire night. This was definitely a night we will NEVER forget! We cannot recommend Ivan enough for any celebration! Thank you so much for making it a night to remember Ivan!!!

Sweet 16th Birthday Party was a success!! All thanks to Ivan from Disk Jockey Unlimited.
Let me tell you about last night (Friday January 12th 2018). Caledon and much of south Ontario got hit with a flash freeze and snow storm. Roads were super slippery and not ideal for attending a party. Ivan pulled through and arrived on time to set up and get the party started.
Christina's sweet 16 was suppose to be an intimate party with only 30 close friend. Imagine our worry when only half showed up. (Some kids decided not to attend due to the storm). The room, although decorated quite beautifully, looked empty. I was really worried no one would be dancing or having fun.
But Ivan was prepared with hula hoops and games for this kids. We did a few classics, like the Macarena, a conga line and the limbo, and some new games, which I don't know the name of but it was hilarious to watch ALL of the teens participate. Towards the end of the party Ivan played this little game where he asked the kids to guess the song after hearing only one second of it.. they had fun with that too!!!
Overall, Ivan was interactive and knew how to get the small crowd moving. His lights really set the party mood and all song choices were spot on. Everything turned out so perfect and his last song choice "16 candles" had everyone turn to mush!!!
I highly recommend Ivan from Disk Jockey Unlimited. He is very accommodating, professional, talented, fun, and knowledgeable. 5 stars all the way!!!!!
