We have a karaoke system for almost any size party!

If you think that Karaoke is a fad, think again! Karaoke is as popular now as when it first came out. It is a great way to spice up everything from a backyard party, to a corporate event, to a wedding.

For those of you who are not quite sure exactly what karaoke is or does, it is a version of a song without the lead vocals, allowing you to sing the lead vocals.

There are various types of karaoke formats available such as tape, CD+G, laser, VCD and DVD. At City Sound / Disc Jockeys Unlimited we use the CD+G format, which simply put means CD plus graphics and when played on one of our machines the lyrics appear up on the monitor or television and highlights them to signal you when to sing the words. In the case of a duet, the woman’s lyrics would appear in red on the screen and the man's in blue.

KARAOKE RENTAL SYSTEMS:

For rentals we prefer the use of CD+G’s for their ease of handling and also to keep rental costs as low as possible. In addition there are many more titles available than any other format and it is the only format that currently offers almost all the new titles.

What comes with our Karaoke package (2-4):

1.One Karaoke machine- CD+G player

-  Illuminated display with remaining and elapsed time
-  5 Band graphic equalizer or bass/treble controls
-  Individual microphone volume controls (for two microphones)
-  Echo control and or digital key control (depends on model)
-  Built in 50 - 160 watt speakers (depends on model)
-  Tape deck for recording your award winning talents

2.One Monitor- 13" monitor for viewing lyrics built into a road case that opens up to expose the screen and also doubles as a very safe and stable stand.  No need to worry about tipsy guests knocking over the monitor.

3.Two Microphones- allowing 8-10 people to sing at once(4-5 people per microphone).

4.80-90 CD+G’s come with each karaoke rental, that adds up to over 1300 songs. (Package 2-4)

5.Song catalogues - These books show your guests what songs are available by artist and title. They also list their location in the library for quick reference.

6-Request sheets and pencils- Once your guests have found the song that they are looking for they can write down which disc it is on and give it to you.

7-Plus all cables required- We provide you with all the cables to hook up the system and the cables to connect the system into your TV. or home stereo system.

7-CD case and request sheets (CD+G’s are very expensive. By keeping them safely stored in the CD case until they are to be used, along with the use of the music catalogue and request sheets, means your guests will never have to touch the discs, thus reducing your liability.)

8-Our machines (Compact, easy to carry and use and large lit up display)

9-Our staff (Friendly, courteous and helpful)

10-Delivery is available within the greater Toronto area. (delivery charge will apply, call for quote)

KARAOKE HOST - ENTERTAINER PACKAGES

Karaoke host           $495.00 and up
                                -Host will brings twice the songs and an ................................upgraded sound system. This price will vary ...............................depending on the date. December rates are ................................noticeably higher. Call for quote.

*Specialty CD+G’s are limited to first come first serve, additional cost  may apply.

Rental Terms

 ***The person picking up the equipment must be 21 years of age and have a valid Ontario Drivers License with them. They must also have a credit card (Visa / MasterCard / Amex) with them for a security deposit or (Pre-Authorization) that will be held on the card for the amount of $1,500.00, you must have $1,500.00 available to be spent on the credit card for the Pre-Authorization to go through. The Pre-Authorization will remain on the card for 3-5 business days or until the equipment has been  returned and  checked for damage/missing equipment. Pre-Authorizations will not show up on your credit card statement however it will prevent you from being able to spend the Pre-Authorization money for 3-7 business days after it has been done. Equipment must be picked up by 5:00pm on the rental out day and returned by 5:30pm on the rental in day, for other arrangements contact our office. Upon reserving the equipment we take a deposit in the amount of half the rental which is non refundable, the balance is due the day you pick the equipment up. Rental equipment is not checked in at the time of return, it usually happens the next business day. If for any reason the equipment is damaged or stolen City Sound Sales & Rentals reserves the right to charge full replacement value to your credit card.
