Questions To Ask When Hiring A DJ

1-How much of a deposit do you take?

2-When is the balance due?

3-Do you accept credit cards? Debit Cards?

4-Will I receive an invoice outlining my event information?

5-Is there a contract that I have to sign? What's in it?

6-Are you a member of any professional associations?

7-Are you licensed and insured?

8-How long have you been in business?

9-How old are your DJ's? How much experience do they have?

10-What will the DJ wear to my event?

11-Will I get to talk or meet with the DJ before hand?

12-Do you use professional equipment?

13-Do you bring any signs to our event advertising your company?

14-Will the DJ take requests, both from ourselves and our guests?

15-What format is your music in? (CD....)

16-Do you have professional base DJ library's from Multimusic.ca or ERGmusic.com Do you get update
CD's every two weeks from either one of these companies?

17-How long before my event starts will the DJ arrive to setup and will they be ready to go before the
guests arrive?

18-Have you or someone from your company worked at the venue in the past?

19-Will you provide emergency backup equipment & DJ's for our event in case there is a problem?

20-Do you have emergency after hours number's.

20-Are you a full time DJ company or is this your part time job?

21-Is the DJ able to act as the MC? Is there an extra charge for this?

22-Does your company have a code of conduct for it's Entertainers? (Drinking...)



Looking to avoid having this guy as your DJ?
